You're evil for not giving me everything I want for free

The horror...the horror...
Yeah, there's a cosmetics shop in Portal 2 for customizing your characters.  And the haters are hating on it because not everything is free with the game.  Nevermind they make no gameplay difference, and you can't even see the ones you're wearing, so why bother complaining about?  Also, nevermind that as of right now players get them all for free.  Just the very concept that they're going to sell virtual hats proves that Valve is pure evil!

I know I shouldn't be surprised by this, and yet, I am.  How could people have such a sense of entitlement?  Dude.  They're polygons.  In a video game.  GROW UP!  They're entirely optional.  They do nothing but slightly alter your character's appearance.  It's not as if when you buy the game at first it isn't complete and you have to buy it a second time to get the full game, like what happened to Gran Turismo 5.  It's also not as if an additional level pack was put on the actual game disc, and unlocked by paying even more money than the sale price, like what happened to Bioshock 2.  No.  These are entirely cosmetic upgrades that don't hold back actual game content, just extra polygons that rest on your characters that you can't actually see when you're playing.  IT'S NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL!

But no.  Always remember The Law of Hate:  "Haters gonna hate.  They don't think.  They don't want to think.  They just want to hate, and they'll use every excuse they can to hate on whatever they want to."
Remember this, and if you ever see a hater, there's only one thing to do: nothing.  Haters don't think, they're not going to listen to criticism or correction.  The only thing worth doing is to let them keep hating, praying that they'll either grow up or die off.  Or, you could sue them on a technicality.  Just make sure you have an air-tight case and a good lawyer that will fairly split the winnings.

Of course, if you want something to legitimately complain about relating to Portal 2, it does not work in Linux, unlike every previous game made by Valve.  Even then, I can't blame Valve for not making sure their game works on an operating system it wasn't designed for.  I'm just hoping that it will be fixed soon so that I can actually play the game before I get completely spoiled by the next "The Cake is a Lie."
